#27 Posted: 10/7/2012 5:03:12 AM Don't know why this line is so low but honestly from what's been going on with KC and the Ravens, there's no reason why Baltimore won't cover. This year's team is one of the best I've seen in quite a while and eclipsing last years team that ALMOST made it to the playoffs. The defense is still tight and the offense is even better than last year.
Let's look at the Ravens first. They're 3-1 so far this year and their only loss was to a pretty good looking Eagles team which is also 3-1. The Raven's opponents have a combined record of 8-8 but 4 of those losses belong to the winless Browns which has played all high caliber teams so far this year so I don't blame them for their losses, also those losses were by no more than 10 points against anyone. Cincinnati got spanked by the Ravens which helped prove that they can easily handle a probably overrated team. I can't see why the Ravens can't spank KC also since their only win is against a seemingly lost Saints team with bad luck in overt time mind you and over some bad ref calls with the replacements.
Now the Chiefs. They got beat pretty convincingly against all of their opponents except for their single win against the 0-4 Saints. All of KC's opponents have at .500+ record along with the Falcons perfect 4-0 record. But honestly looking at KC's opponents, only one seems worth of saying that they are real contenders and that's clearly the Falcons. So that is actually pretty deceiving if you look at the wins the Chargers and Bills have. Their opponents just weren't great to begin with. All KC really has is Jamal Charles which is beast but once Baltimore starts airing out after running the ball with Ray Rice, Charles will no longer be able to run since they'll be playing catchup the whole game. Sadly in this day and age in the NFL, you can't run the ball against a team that can air it out much better than you can and has a defense that will pressure Cassel all night long. So your only option really is Charles and they will HEAVILY rely on him to win this game.
So, with that being said, Ravens EASILY cover this game. There's nothing, including emotion that says that KC has a chance unless the Ravens can't stop the run, which I believe that they will be able to contain. I'm kinda sad about that statement since I have Charles on my fantasy team. But I'd rather win my immediate bets than the small amount for my fantasy league.

#28 Posted: 10/7/2012 5:17:55 AM On paper this game is not even close… The Ravens are by far the superior team on both sides of the ball and the Ravens are well rested so this line should be at least a touchdown. With that said, this line screams the fix is in (I’ve been saying for years Joe Flacco is a stone cold crook… he will shave points for those Italians in New Jersey in a New York minute) so……. I want to benefit from that crook’s generosity as well…
Put me down for Kansas City plus the chalk for a nickel Alex Trebek please. Thanks! |

Father time catching up , Ravens may have lost D speed n' concerns having not faced explosive RB this year till today. Last elite RB vs Balt = A. Foster in playoffs = 132 Yrds KC has moved ball well this year vs Cream puffed D's . Stiffer test , J.Charles should still have a big day, chewing clock up ,keeping Flacco's hurry up offense on the sides. Better strategy imo ,considering Kassel's penchant for INT's . Chefs getting 6 1/2 at home ? Bit Disrespectful considering Arrowhead is 2 nd behind Seattle as toughest venue for visiting teams. Ravens appear pumped dismissing possible letdown . For what matter$ to me, Ravens will win n' using them in 3 X ML play that has'nt failed so far.
RAVENS - PACK- HOUSTON ML
4 K = 1600 $

#38 Posted: 10/7/2012 12:42:41 PM Vue and Quad, you are 2 of the more respectable people that post under the threads on here. I'm w/ the both of you today. Baltimore plays down to competition and I'm getting the full 7 at my book. I learned my lesson taking Balt as RF's last year and they killed me all season long. Also, Balt is 4-18 ATS after back to back SU wins. Everything says Chiefs in this 1 despite how bad they've looked.

#40 Posted: 10/7/2012 1:00:28 PM Some teams play good ONLY when they are at home. Kansas City is one of them.
Baltimore don't lose to this kind of team.

#41 Posted: 10/7/2012 3:59:07 PM This should be a lesson to all you boys and girls… When was the last time Joe Flacco picked up a 3RD & 16 yard first down with his legs? Again, Flacco is an absolute crook! With that said, nice piece of work Kansas City and Under backers!

#42 Posted: 10/7/2012 5:27:43 PM Damn so sad that Baltimore got close so many times and only came out with 3 field goals. Honestly I wished they would've just lost outright...Oh well, at least the Philly game I called cancelled this game out. Onto the next good thing |
