#1 Posted: 3/2/2012 11:37:11 AM I know you can't beat the atmosphere of the first weekend, but just can't do it that week work-wise. Been to Vegas 10+ times, but first time considering heading down solo (can't find anyone who seems interested in a semi-last minute trip).
Anyone heading down that weekend? |

Not that I'm aware of (although I'd love to see one if someone else could provide it).
From my experience the first and second weekends of the tournament are treated much differently, with all of the large viewing parties happening in the first weekend. I guess there just isn't nearly the same volume of people who go in the second weekend to justify having them. All of the sportsbooks will still be packed though.
Ended up finding someone to go with and I'd imagine we'll be watching the games at either Mirage or Caesars.

I went last year for opening weekend with my father, and the crowds and St. Patrick's Day really bothered him. He doesn't like crowds in general, and having crowds of drunk people roaming around was off-putting.
This year I'm going with two uncles, and we're arriving on Wednesday.
I've done Sweet Sixteen weekend there before, and it is always a blast.
