Despite the signings, it would be foolish to bet on the Wild to win even the conference IMO.  Now if you got them at 100:1 to win the conference, I'd be OK with that.  But the value is sucked out.  And you still never have any idea how the new group will mesh.  Just ask the Eagles.  Tigers.....LAA......it even took the Heat a year to figure it out.  FA's alone does not a title make.

just got back from friday night "Hobble & Gobble" @ the LVH Buffet. NO major changes from earlier odds EXCEPT for the post signing Wild which are now 12-1 conference and 25-1 cup.

I will agree with HutchEmAll. LOTS of better bets than THAT "tank job". you can still get the Sharks 12-1 and 25-1 and the Coyotes @ 20-1 and 40-1. BOTH probably have a better chance of making the playoffs.

i like either the rags, when they get nash, or carolina to win the east. not reasoning, just feelings. then again i had nashville vs flyers in the cup finals last year..

I think the Penguins just got Semin. 1 yr deal. Say what you will about his work ethic... I don't think it will be a problem with the chance to rack up a garbage load of points and then sign a big deal next season.

I had NJ at 30/1 last season gone ....  looking at maybe San Jose or maybe Anaheim as a nice priced longshot

looking forwrd to the season totals and make playoff or not props

be interested to see your source. there is NO-thing in the Pittsburgh media about Semin. IF it's TRUE, I personally would rather have taken a chance on Wojtek Wolski who the Capitals just signed for 1 year $600k.

Yeah Wolski for $600k is a steal.

STILL nothing about any "Seaman Semin" deal in the either the Pittsburgh P-G or T-R July 17th. must have heard the rumor on some BS sports talk radio.

P-G DID say today that the Penguins HAVE made an offer to Shane Doan http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/sports/penguins/penguins-make-offer-to-free-agent-doan-645013/

I love the trades, one guy 5 to 7 mil player does not win you the cup...It always comes down to one hot goalie.  Quick, Thomas, and Crawford.

have to agree. MAJOR over-reaction to the Wild getting Zach Parise and Ryan Suter. definately upgrades the team BUT I think they are still a "thin edge" team for making the plyoffs

rink rat, the comparison of the line move for players(and you are correct an upgrade!) and the rags who imo are closer(hate to say this) dont move with nash aboard? not even 9 to 1, or were they overpriced to begin with?do not take me wrong, i would not have a problem if i threw some small change @+200, but at 30 to 1, i would rather put a buck on my boys! i hope the season starts as scheduled, see you then!

Blues 15-1 is good. They will make the playoffs for sure.
