As far as others in consideration, Zeppelin & Pink Floyd have probably created the most other timeless rock.....
I think The Doors deserve a spot along Zeppelin and Floyd when it comes to timeless rock...So far ahead of their time

#32 Posted: 5/10/2011 4:41:32 AM Claiming a best band ever is arrogant and stupid. But by all means, you can argue who your favorite is and why. My favorite is Pink Floyd, and that is due to their deep meanings and great guitar work. |

#36 Posted: 5/12/2011 6:51:26 PM Aw man this is easy and believe me I hate the Beatles vs. Stones kiddie battle that u see from time to time on YT or wherever because both were great obviously. Also as we all know its just a matter of opinion anyway --
Stones ONLY from the years 68-74 alone, all the other 60 or however many years they've been trying to do this garbage is just bonus. Dudes: they wrote Tumbling Dice story of my life. If the Mick Taylor years didn't exist who knows they mighta been just like the Animals or something like that but that dude could jam. For me nothing compares to them during that period.
