Out of the guys in this week's field  at the BNC, who are the best/worst wind players?

I know Chad Campbell is good in the wind and also Greg Chalmers.

I would guess that guys with higher ball flights would have the most trouble. Like a G Ogilvy type ball flight.

Usually, most of the Aussie's are good in the wind as well as guys from Texas....

One thing you can do is look back at a tournament that was windy and see who did well that week...

I can't think of a recent one or I would tell you....maybe someone else remembers a recent tourny that had a lot of wind...

HOLY garbage! Only 37 views to get a response, ty AJ I almost gave up. I wish the tour had a website that listed each players ball flight for the driver and irons.

Or even better a list of what guys shot when the wind was >12 mph, LOL!

This one was windy last year.  weather forecast says a late 1st round / early 2nd round will have a nice advantage over the reverse but as we all know weather is SOOO unpredictable.

The best wind players are usually the ones that not only have lots of experience in these conditions, but also the ones that are the overall best ball strikers. Great ball strikers can achieve the necessary impact condition to control their trajectory. For these players, a lot of wind doesn't affect the ball as much as it will for others. This impact condition will see the clubshaft return forward, so the clubhead is descending and accelerating when it contacts the ball. In addition, great ball strikers can control their clubface so they can move the ball left-to-right or right-to-left to counter the wind.

Wish I had time to compile some results from those rounds, but I'm freakin swamped at work and little league coaching this week

this kind of info  could make all of us a lot of money if someone had the time/knowledge to work through those rounds and the wind rounds of the last few years.

I dont believe the line makers figure the possibility of wind into the lines, and that is one way we could get a big edge on them.

If the weather report ends up being correct which if it is the late Thursday/early Friday tee times will have a very nice advantage because it is supposed to get windy Friday day.

wish I had the time to find the match ups with the  late/early vs the early/late.   from what I have heard from announcers in past windy tournaments the good weather tee times could have as much as an average of 3 shots on the field

From what I have seen they are predicting 17-25 mph Friday around lunch time, are you saying that this info in false? Or has changed in some way?

The wind played havoc with scores last year if I remember right.

So you are saying that the reports of It being windy Friday are no longer true? Just want a clarification.

It is not blowing at all and I live just a few miles from course. Cant predict later here as it always seems to change. But as of now zero wind

Almost half  of my full tournament  bets are match ups where I faded the guys teeing off after 11am est today. Finally a weather man was right with his prediction. I love it when a plan comes together, have fun out there  PGA'ers with the late tee times.
