REF: The Prime Minister (1941) the biography of Benjamin Disraeli played by a then young Sir John Gielgud with Diana Wynyard as his wife Mary and Fay Compton as Queen Victoria. excellent English 19th century history and very well acted by all involved BUT NOT as good as the 1929 Disraeli with George Arliss in the title roll. that one is definately worth looking out for on Turner Classic Movies

Disraeli (1929) is on Turner Classic Movies Friday Feb 1st @ 7:30 am eastern/4:30 am pacific. definately worth recording If you like English history or just excellent classic acting. Arliss was an early "super star" for both this movie (for which he won a Best Actor Oscar) AND the 1934 The House of Rothschild where he played both old man Mayer and his son Nathan Rothschild

and right after Disreeli, TCM is once again airing the classic gangster movies Little Caesar (1930) and The Public Enemy (1931)

2009 Movie  Zombieland 
A comedy horror with Woody Harrelson in it.
Pure entertainment from start to finish.  Recommend it

revisited The Big Lebowski last night on Showtime. it repeats Saturday Feb 2nd @ 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm pacific time and Sunday early morning @ 1am and 4am.

STILL one of my favorite comedies EVER

Shadow of the Vampire (2000) VERY well acted horror drama about the making of the early German silent classic vampire movie Nosferatu with John Malkovich as film director F W Murnau and Willem Dafoe as Max Schreck, who played "Count Orlok", the "Dracula" character in the film (nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar)

the premise of the plot is that Schreck (which means terror in German) was a REAL vampire. Eddie Izzard plays the movie's Thomas Hutter character while Catherine McCormack plays his wife in the movie, Ellen Hutter. some REALLY crazy interaction between the Schreck character (Dafoe) and the rest of the cast and crew to where they are saying to each other "HOLY SH*T!!! this guy is the REAL THING!!!

it's on Cinemax-Action again Friday Feb 1st @ 9:25 pm, Cinemax-5 Star Sunday Feb 10:45 am and Cinemax-Action again Friday Feb 8th @ 12:45 am (all times pacific). definatelty worth recording
