Veteran Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 1578 Location: Delaware	#26 Posted: 4/30/2012 1:22:52 AM when i had my implant recently, doc put the molding in the mouth to give me a retainer like thing with one fake tooth to fill in the space of my missing tooth while i had to wait fckin 4 mths to have my gums heal before screwing in the implant. cost like only 300 for the retainer thing, doc called it a flipper. see if they can make u a molding of your mouth of missing teeth u want pulled out and then have them make you this flipper thing with as many fake teeth on it as needed to feel your space. not sure if this will work but ask. cud save ya shtloads. not as secure as dentures, but if u wud like temp bs while saving up for sht maybe its a try. sht after typing that bs im wondering if dentures are around the same price range anyways... gl

I think I'd rather make the investment than deal with the discomfort of the lower partial. goose, if that is really you behind there, i think he means diminishing as in the teeth are just giving out due to gum line is going away due to receeding gums. unhealthy teeth can only stay so long until loosen or crack or both.

The woman I've been dealing with is Beth. Beth has a gun in each hand. One a small revolver that's $1500 for a bridge, the other is a nicer weapon that $3000 for an implant. Doc says bone behind tooth has dropped to the point that re-crowning the tooth would last 2-5 years. Tooth has to be pulled. I inquired about the flipper which is an option. I don't have to decide this today so I'm going to ponder. I'm leaning toward the implant due to the fact that in the future if I need a full rack, the denture needs something to anchor to. The implant serves this purpose. Doc claims that pulling all the teeth and going with the full denture comes with the problem that it's not stable and your mouth is always changing especially as we age even fuckin' more. An entire set of lower teeth bobbing around doesn't sound very appealing. On a positive note a good friend of mine that's a head pro of a course I play scored us Meet & Greet tickets for RUSH the Sunday after Thanksgiving for $340 each. I played Saturday (shot 80) went to an Indian casino and knocked out $380 playing 3-6 holdem' in 2.5 hours. I was on fuckin' fire. I'll deal with the dental issues. Like I said previously, many people have a lot more problems than bad teeth. Stay well (and young) my friends.

I'd like to thank that guy for cheering me up. Can you imagine the hassle and pain/discomfort getting 32 implants? That'll take years as well. I'm sure he'll get compensated but he'll earn it. How much would you expect for having this done to you? I figure $250,000 minimum + the cost of rebuilding your mouth.

Veteran Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 1578 Location: Delaware	#33 Posted: 5/1/2012 1:37:34 AM kb your doc got a inhouse payment plan? some dentists do that. or at least break down the payments according to when you do each part of the implant process. if it is your bottom teeth bridge may work out. if i can do crowns for multiple yrs for little cost i may do those for a decade. then keep trying to replace them. the damn tooth i had taken out and then implant scewed in, that thing just became crazy loose out of nowwhere. that was my right side upper fckin tooth. f me.horrible. then as doc was cleaning it the tooth cracked and had to be pulled wk later. shud of did yearly cleanings. am now. will keep doing so and try to save these btches.
