#1 Posted: 6/24/2010 2:02:19 PM I'm 27 years old and in pretty good shape (6'0 175 lbs., still play in competitive basketball and softball leagues weekly), but I haven't been working out as much as I'd like to lately. My goal this summer was to start working out more and taking on new challenges (not doing the same old weights/running/jogging). One thing I just started was going to yoga classes 1-2 times a week with a girl from my work (I'm very non flexible so thought it would be good to start doing some yoga). I also started swimming a lot more again (love swimming as a workout in the past and the lean muscle you build from it).
A buddy of mine from work trains a lot and competes in triathlons. Yesterday, he convinced me to participate in one with him later this year. He works out a lot and said I can train with him and I'm really looking forward to it now. Any of you guys ever participate in a triathlon?? How long did you train?? How did it go??? |
