Do any of you experts own one?

Good clean fun outdoors and a whole of woopass for your money. Strongly considering a Mossbergy purchase.

I'm not fluent with these long guns at all.

Guns first, rent/food last.

I've got a Beretta 390 12 gauge semi-auto which I love.  Clean it once a year and it never misses a beat no matter what ammo you run through it.

Also have a Fox 20 gauge double barrel.  It still shoots but gunsmith said the 2nd barrel is getting ready to go from all the steel shot I ran through it when I was in high school (2nd barrel has a full choke).  It's an oldie, but was a great grouse gun as it is light as a feather.  Is now retired and on display.

And if you want to buy something, you can find something VERY cheap what will likely suit your needs.  It's pretty rare that you find a shotgun that doesn't perform pretty well.

I think the rule of thumb is, always contact an expert before inspecting the end of a jammed shot gun. Dude was lucky all he lost was his hat.

Remington 870 mag.  Will shoot anything from 2 3/4 to 3 1/2 and won't jam.  I've beat the hell out of mine duck hunting and still shoots everytime.

Interesting. I just was over at Big 5 after doing a lot of research on the guns you guys have mentioned. Beneli is super impressive but too light I honestly like the over under look of shotguns with the mag tube obviously beneath the shotgun. The 18 or 18.5 inch barrel feels a bit too small for me. Tried the Remington 870 @ 18 inches and that felt awkward on the short end.

Leaning hard on a Mossberg 590 Special purpose 20" barrel. Just feels right for my build and I like the amount of good ole american steel down the lines.

All of the above guns are fantastic, Going to grip a couple more before I make a final decision.

Sorry, I didn't comment on that particular shotgun but just youtubed and read about it on the B website. Seriously impressive firearm.

Looking more tactical/blow up watermelons though.

You can here this DNA miracle squeeze a chambered round and then just rack another. Looking down the barrel of any loaded weapon is grounds for immediate drowning.

Real nice gun. 22" barrel though. I'll have to see how that one feels. Thanks.

Beretta xtrema2. Best gun on the market. Own many shotguns Remington/Winchester/mossberg. None of them can touch this shotgun. Price is a lil steep at 1400 but it will be last shotgun you ever buy.

Mossberg   great value .... they make a ton of great rifles for the money. I would go with the Remington or Mossberg if you didn't want to break the bank.

I own two combat shotguns:

Mossberg M590A1 with ghost sights and 9 round capacity.

I figure if it’s good enough for Marines to use in combat then it’s definitely good enough for me.

Saiga 12 with a 20 round capacity.

As far as civilian legal CQB weapons go, you’re not going to be able to get much more deadly than a weapon that can fire 20 12 gauge shells in about 5 seconds.
