7/12/1962
The Rolling Stones
played their first concert at the Marquee club in London. Their line-up
consisted of lead vocalist Mick Jagger, guitarists Keith Richards and
Brian Jones, person Taylor on bass, pianist Ian Stewart and Mick Avory,
later of the Kinks, on drums. Avory and Taylor would be replaced by Tony
Chapman on drums and Bill Wyman on bass. Chapman didn't work out and
drummer Charlie Watts completed the Stones' line-up in January 1963.

#8 Posted: 7/14/2011 2:13:17 PM Goose : I just got a DVD of the TAMI show from 1964,and the Stones close out the show . They do "Round & Round","Off The Hook","Time Is On My Side", "It's All Over Now",and one I never heard before called " I'm Allright". If you are into that era of music ,you should check it out. Keith & Brian are amazing. The James Brown set is killer too

MWC, read the book a couple of months ago. It gave me a whole new appreciation of what a phenomenal guitar player Keith is. |
