Spain doesnt have the same team (Puyol & Villa both out) and no team has played more games over the past 4yrs. Not to mention most of their team is on Barca, and well, they have played @ least to Semi's of CL the past 3yrs. History not on their side either- No team has won the major trophies 3 times in a row.

Dutch will just try to out score everyone, since they have a horrible back line. That will get them 2nd in group, a win over Russia, but then they might be playing Italia in Semi's.

I don't have anything to say say why Deutchland. I also love he extra motivation they received after most of them just lost the CL.

Germany or Holland is my pick. Germany has an experienced young team which should do quite well. My sleeper team is France. After cleaning house last World Cup they also have a rejuvenated team which could go far!

spain won 08 euro i dont think anyone has ever repeat winner back to back at euro, also they won 2012 wc, it be crazy to think they win 2012 euro it possible but i say history helps here and i say it dont happen

i think germany or netherlands will win the cup, and since it very possible netherlands play spain or germany play spain in semis, it possible final could be spain vs netherlands like wc final, or germany vs spain

or netherlands vs unknown team not germany or spain

or germany vs unknown team not spain or netherlands

screw italy, i fancy that spain wins that group and croatia has a 50 50 shot to beat out italy for 2nd spot imo, italy might get knocked out in the group stage, i think the same for england or france, not both will get knock out in group stage, but i could see ukraine cheat their way to a 2nd place, and either england or france win the group, it a tricky group and france play england to start so if 1 of those teams lose that game if it dont end in a tie, they in last in the standings especialy if ukraine can beat sweden and they are favorites over the swedes. could win england france winner get 1st in that group and ukraine get 2nd, france vs england is a huge game i believe if 1 of them lose that game and that will happen if it not a tie, either france or england wont make the quarterfinals

what do you guys thin about netherlands in 2014? they be too old then to compete for back to back world cup finals? i am betting 50 grand on someone to win 2014 wc and i narrowed the list of teams that will win teh cup to about 5 teams, netherlands is 1 of them and only 2 of europe teams i like besides germany. but i believe by 2014 netherlands will be at end of their prime, most of their superstar players now are like 28-30 years old. they have alot of offensive talent but by then hoping it washed up

2014 wc:

brazil

argentina

uruguay

germany

1of these 4 teams will win the wc

my 2 sleepers would be netherlands and chile but i almost eliminate both them easily, netherlands i think be too old need alot of luck to make back to back wc finals, and chile is a sleeper cause they a south american team,

germany by far is the only team in 2014wc in brazil i give a legit shot to from europe. i think it probably gonna be win by brazil or argentina

everyone says how brazil is no good no more, but they still like 15-3-8 or something in their last 30 or so games which is really good they dont lose often, and sure lots of home pressure. BUT EVERY WC SINCE I BEEN BORN IN 1980 BRAZIL MAKE ATLEAST THE FINAL 8 TEAMS QUARTERFINALS, SO BASICALY WIN 3 GAMES AT HOME AND YOUR WC CHAMP SURE SOUNDS HARD, BUT ALOT OF TIMES A TEAM WILL SNEAK IN A QUARTERFINAL SO IT POSSIBLE BRAZIL COULD PLAY NIGERIA OR SOME KIND OF PUNK TEAM THEY WILL JUST CRUSH INTHE QUARTERS. THAT WOULD LEAVE 2 HARD GAMES THE SEMIS AND FINALS, MAYBE VS ARGENTINA THEN GERMANY OR URUGUAY THEN ARGENTINA OR SOMETHNG

but i think brazil, uruguay, chile, argentina, maybe even paraguay can go deep in brazil.

i still think brazil is a good team though that guy neymar is sick and he is real young they have other good players too that are young, isnt one hercules and the defense better now too

argetina for wc got steamed at 5 dimes from +680 to +445 i think now that is crazy, brazil is only lower at +365. that is garbage odds for argentina

who else think brazil and germany are both better than argentina?

To answer the ? No, no one has every won back 2 back. Germany is the only 3x champ. They have also reached the finals in 6/13 Cups. France & Spain the only 2x winners.

I guess you have something against Italia PJ. Ok, we all have our opinions. I expect France & Italia to have big tourney's. Both lost in Groups in WC. One because the soccer Gods made it right after they shouldn't have been there, the other, because they left all their scorers @ H (Mario & Rossi). Big overhauls for both, and both get nice set ups. My main other reason for Italia is everyone style of play in their group. Plays right into their hands. Play for a draw vs. Spain, then beat hem on goal differential. Spain won't score in this tourney IMO.

I do agree that England will not make it out of that group. France over Ukraine IMO.

I'd look into a Germany/France/Italy prop... I don't see anyone else winning it.

I think we will see some surprises at the EURO 2012. I agree with Lambo on that France sleeper-pick. And I don't think England, Spain or Italy will win the the EURO. Italy might not even survive the group stages.
Though call on Germany imo. The team contains 7 players from Bayern Munich and they might need some (mental) rest after missing out on three titles this season. They also play in a strong group. It all depends on the first game for Germany. They are able to grow stronger during the tourney, but a draw or loss of the first game vs. Portugal might end their EURO dream.

My other sleepers are Croatia and Greece at very good odds for the surprise factor.

You can throw Holland out. They're nowhere near the team they were two years ago when they gave Spain all they could handle in the World Cup final. Their defense which was only average two years ago is even worse. The midfield is very pedestrian and gives up the ball far too much. Other than Van Persie, no one can score. This team will struggle to get out of the group stage.
