And what impact does it have on you?

Catholic/Christian churches will still not allow them to be married in their churches. They will receive tax breaks so what are you angry that they wont pay as much taxes and will be looked at the same as a man and woman who have married.

Do you believe that fire, police, and other public services that the public tax dollars pay for should be limited to non homosexuals? Do you want them in concentration camps or something so they have no chance of infecting you with their gayness?

Please enlighten me on how what 2 homosexuals do actually affects your life and your everyday business.

happy "lifestyle" and being happy are two different things, simpleton.

Hilarious that you mention "evidence" when it comes to this topic, but don't give 2 shits about that when it comes to 9/11.

Long discredited are theories that parenting — one mid-20th century theory held that boys raised by a domineering mother with a distant father were more likely to be happy — has anything to do with sexual orientation.

Evidence of that, said Michael Bailey, a professor of psychology at Northwestern University, comes from studies of genetically male infants born with malformed or ambiguous genitals. In many such cases, surgeons would construct a vagina, and instruct parents to raise the child as a girl, with no knowledge of his medical history.

As adults, those prenatally male/postnatally female people were virtually all attracted to women, Bailey said.

"If you can't make a male attracted to other males by cutting off his penis, castrating him and rearing him as a girl, then how likely is any social explanation of male homosexuality?" he said.

Eli Coleman, professor and director of Human Sexuality at the University of Minnesota Medical School, told CNN: “We’ve been through this over and over. You can get behavioral changes, but that’s not orientation change. You can get short-term behavioral change. It’s not sustained.”

Coleman’s views are echoed in a landmark 2009 American Psychological Association report which states that there is “no evidence that sexual orientation change efforts work.” The report also says that “practitioners should avoid telling clients that they can change from happy to straight.”

And finally, let’s not forget that millions of LGBT people will tell you firsthand that they did not choose their sexual orientation.

here's the problem you have in trying to talk to religious freaks like 14 about this.  he's had it beaten into his head over and over by his bible study teacher that homosexuality is an abomination (nevermind the many other abominations in their book since a lot of them commit those so they must be ignored or interpreted away.  here, we won't talk about divorce, adultery, eating shellfish, etc.).

but his god is perfect and created all life.  but there are homosexuals out that were created too.  how could a god that created everyone create homosexuals and then call homosexuality an abomination?  what do we do with that?  this is called the religious nut conundrum (trademarked by the Church of ClubDirt).

so, it has to be a choice in order for religious nuts like 14 to keep living in the comfortable albeit very limited, warped view of the world.

so whatever logic you use and evidence from the millions of lgbt who say it wasn't a choice for them and the straight people who know they never made the choice, etc you throw at him, it's not possible to have a normal discussion with the nuts because it's not something that's up for debate.  what you are doing is shaking the foundation of his bible study-infused ignorance-is-bliss belief system.  without that crutch, his ability to think for himself and get through life on his own is severely compromised.  he doesn't know much outside of bible study teachings, but he knows he needs it and he will protect it.
