#2 Posted: 4/1/2011 4:06:34 PM absolutely, thomas6512, you are hot, hot, on-fire hot. as this race is going to be over by april 16, all you have to do is finish just a tad over 70%. since you have hit 7 of 8 the last two days, this should be a piece of cake for you.
i need a new car, so i am going to invest in your picks. your 45 wins over the next 62 picks or so, should do it for me. that would be about 25 units on the plus side. that will work. good luck to you. and me.
your icon is excellent. |

#6 Posted: 4/6/2011 2:15:29 PM am i missing something here? as the leader needs 26 wins, his monkey could pick for him, and he would be at 200 in about 52 picks. during that same period, someone who needed maybe 35 wins would need to win at a rate of 2/3 just to 'tie' which would probably be 'not winning.' the extra win probably necessary would require a percentage near 70.
now this rate is semi-reasonable for a short period of time, but it would be just as semi-reasonable a task for the pesky other 40 players who have at least as many wins, and are therefore ahead of the pursuers. correct?
so any of those who presently have more than the 165 wins in this example would be more 'reasonable' and less 'semi-' to reach the magic-number before someone at 165 wins or fewer. no?
however, winning a cap or even a hoodie seems much more likely. right? |

it was done purposefully as a method to clearly separate the sheep from the goats, the players from the 'semi's.' however, i appreciate your input. the major error here is using 35 as the remaining wins. that is ancient history. with 25 wins to go the simple concept here is 'toast.'

Ya... ok
Always best to let your stats do the talking.
But, a good run none the less.

#12 Posted: 4/12/2011 1:28:58 AM Bottom line is it's a crap shoot every night. Your hot streak could go cold the next day or vice versa. Hoping to finish in the top 50, just under that now. Good luck to everyone the rest of the way.

over by april 16...that's close.
with hockey-odds included, i am up 3 units since throwing in with your picks. so if i can't buy the car yet, at least i can buy the trunk space and the rear wheels depending on how you finish. |

#16 Posted: 4/18/2011 5:56:41 PM that could be considered an invitation to ms. thomas. if not, this is. where are you? you can't leave us out here, dangling at the end of the race, after driving the conversation for weeks. you didn't take radical measures due to the failure of all those ahead to co-operate with your plan, did you? we need a thomas check-in. |
