#27 Posted: 9/30/2011 2:51:32 PM Take Tampa Bay. Take Green Bay in week 6 vs. St. Louis. Good Luck. Philly is too banged up. |

#28 Posted: 9/30/2011 3:13:07 PM I went with Tampa Bay...There won't be a better spot to use the Bucs IMHO..Josh Freeman wins games, a clutch beast...Tampa Bay wants to make a playoff run this year, they can't expect to make playoffs if they lose games to INDY, give me the Bucs
good luck everyone unless you are in my pool heh

#30 Posted: 9/30/2011 3:52:39 PM Want to know how to win a survivor pool?
Don't bet on who you think will win.
Bet against who you think will lose.
SEA and JAX will lose this week because they suck. INDY showed life last week; I can't guaranteee they lose to TB.
Just my opinion |

I think Indy shot there load last week. A big game at home that basically could of turned around their season and they got it ripped from them. It took several HUGE turnovers for them to even have a chance. |

While I somewhat agree, INDY's offense looked extreeeeeeeeeemely better with Painter at the helm in the 4th quarter. Now, he has a full game. I hate betting on teams when there are huge changes (i.e. coach, QB, etc.).
It's a must-avoid for me ATS and in my survivor pool |

#33 Posted: 9/30/2011 4:28:59 PM your telling me! i had Pitt last week in my survivor pool and my heart skipped a beat when painter barley overthrew a streaking Garcon late in the forth. i also hate taking the monday night game....im really trying to talk myself into GB, chicago, or the saints. One of which I think is going down. |

2. On a survivor pool, EVERYONE is trying to get the edge and make the "smart" pick when it really isn't... which means EVERYONE and their mother will be on the bucs for the exact same reason you stated... Id say vikings is more of a lock against the chiefs as opposed to the colts facing an overrated team that has 2TD passes and 4INTs... the colts defense will be all up in freeman's grill
3. When later in the season would you much rather take Minnesota? Only team i can see them getting a guarantee win over is Denver in week 13... here are some of your options in week 13 that you would rather pick than minnesota
eagles @ seahawks
chiefs @ bears
bengals @ steelers
ravens @ browns
chargers @ jaguars (in this case ironpat would not be able to pick)
4. Take the bills now while they're hot... teams will adjust to them later in the season and lets face it... its the Bills... not necessarily a team you want to "save" for the end of the season
yeah good work with that... minny and the bills both lost. how many pool you out of now?? |

#37 Posted: 10/4/2011 5:34:18 PM Actually I did not take chiefs week 1. Read other threads in week 1, i got off the chiefs..Im alive in my survivor pool. And I highly doubt u are still alive in any of yours cause u might be the worst survivor strategist of all time... You proved that this week in your awful advice which both bombed. |

i picked houston week 1(huge fav i think it was like 9), no brainer for me with manning out... Pit week 2 (another huge fav against seattle 14 pt fav) SDG week 3 was another massive fav (14.5) and TB was another DD fav at -10 over indy... So with only around 30 people in my survivor pool, im not getting fancy, im taking huge favorites but TB instead of GB because TB will not be a huge favorite again and same with HOU vs Indy week 1, i wasnt sure id see a better spot than that to take Hou..

so my guess is that you took the giants as "huge" favorites this week? |

#43 Posted: 11/24/2011 4:27:16 PM Pitt off a bye vs K.C in Pitt ? i see you didnt mention pittsburgh above so assuming you have them still you'd be crazy not to take the game with the largest gap in almost every single stat worthy of mentioning.
