#27 Posted: 4/12/2012 7:57:22 AM I'm probably going to the pub to watch Pies v Blues with my nutjob Lebo Carlton supporter mate tomorrow night, unless our brodate doesn't pan out.
I'm surely going to bet on Collingwood, but as an old school Lions lad deep down I'd rather cop a loss than cheer for a Collingwood win, but I can't jump on the Blues fagwagon either... I think I just suck down beers and act cool?
btw if I'm not around for a few days I may need one of you to cash me/bail me out.

here is what the 'experts' think. Cant believe Carlton are so heavily favoured tonight? Even Jacko on the radio this morning had Blues by 11points. Lets hope we know something more then they do!!!

#32 Posted: 4/13/2012 4:12:26 AM really been second guessing myself roo over the past few days.....let's be honest, Carlton are up and running whereas Collingwood are not in tip top shape like they will be at the end of the season.
It's all mental though and could that be enough for Collingwood to get over the line?

#33 Posted: 4/13/2012 4:36:03 AM Gl Roo. Like the bet, I am thinking of taking live betting after quarter time or halt time. I think Blues are fast starters generally, and want to see the shape of the game also before taking a plunge |

I knew the Blues were up and about. But i just saw this being another Pies win. After tonight im not sure if pies will be contending? I never seen Pies exposed like that for 5yrs or more. They were horrible. Blues really really really impressed me. You know what they say "speed kills!".
Lets hope the rest of the w/e is better

#37 Posted: 4/13/2012 10:39:59 PM Nail on the head Rooboy I do not think the Pies are contenders after that performance. An absolute dominant smashing I have not seen for a while (or whenever Melbourne play). Offered absolutely nothing all game.
I noticed a stat with 4 or so mins left in the 3rd the uncontested possession count was something like 56-17 in Blues favour. 17 uncontested touches in almost 3 quarters?!! The Pies were absolutely mobbed. Buckley('s Chance) should have Mick on speed dial.
Here's hoping RICH and ESS can turn this weekend around...

#38 Posted: 4/14/2012 10:23:32 PM ALSO PLAYING:
CATS -5.5 (1stQ Line) 1unit@ $1.92
--- As much as it pains me to do this I just have to take the 'smarter' bet. I really hope the Kangas manage to keep this game close and show they have improved, but i truly believe the Cats will get the jump on them. I see the value of only 1goal difference at Quarter time to good to resist as i think my boys might actually be down by a couple at the first siren.

#43 Posted: 4/15/2012 3:49:40 AM I can't believe how awful the Cats are. North thoroughly outplayed and dominated that 1st half. |
