Anyone got any insight on what kind fo a squad chelse will be fielding with their fa championship match coming up the 5th. Obviously liverpool didnt field the best squad and the league title hopes are over so i figure they'll be gunning for the trophy and not care about newcastle.

1 play so far.

Atl madrid -1.5 -105

Atl has won by 2 in this matchup since 2007 - hoping the trend continues.

Solid holland card later. Wonder what the spread wil be on venlo. ML is like -1500 for Ajax

I believe Chelsea has two ways to qualify for Champs League next year:

1) beat Bayern Munich

2) finish in a certain spot in the EPL this year, which will require a win. The line is -1 and juice for a reason.  If you think Cisse and Co. will score, then I would take the over.  Otherwise I like Chelsea, who are playing well at the moment.

Also look at the matches following a bad loss for Newcastle....they dont fare well historically, especially away.

Note: if I am wrong about Cheslea's avenues of 2013 Champs Qual, then please correct me.

You are on point Bake. Di Matteo has said each league game is the most important game for this team to qualify for next year and that started on Sunday against QPR. I would not be surprised if they fielded a "different" side for the FA cup game, and then their best squad 3 days later when they play Liverpool in the league. Abramovich has dedicated over $247 million, not counting money from Champs League, to new signings in the offseason and the best way to bring great players in - qualify for Champs League.

So liverpool is going all out gfor the fa cup and chelsea is going all otu for a champ leagues spot. Seems likely to me champs league/europe brings the money and liverpool doesnt have a chance.
