#151 Posted: 2/2/2012 1:16:36 AM Considered one of the greatest fighters in history, six world titles in three weight divisions:record of 107 wins, 6 losses
and 2 draws, with 89 knockouts, and a reputation as one of the best
boxers of all time.He holds records for most successful consecutive defenses of world
titles (27), most title fights (37), most title-fight victories (31),
and he is tied with Joe Louis
for most title defenses won by knockout (21).Also has the longest
undefeated streak in boxing history, 13 years. His record was 89-0-1
going into his first loss. Renowned especially for his devastating left
hook and his ability to take a punch due to his extremly strong chin.
Made his professional debut at age 17.Grew up in an abandoned railroad
car with his five sisters and four brothers. Came from a poor family and
became a boxer for money, he stated: "I saw
my mom working ironing and washing peoples clothes, and I promised her I
would give her a house someday and she would never have that job
again."

#153 Posted: 2/2/2012 8:00:47 PM 3 FACTS.........some you'll like.......some you wont.
Floyd Mayweather is Undefeated ------ Everywhere I looked. PERIOD
JC Chavez is the greatest Mexican fighter of all time. No doubt in my mind....He was an amazing fighter, much respect to him !
Boxing Robberies !!! One of the biggest victims in the history of the sport goes by the name of Meldrick Taylor. And a TRUE boxing fan NEVER FORGETS that one........
No disrespect bro, I just think the "question mark" regarding the decision in the first Floyd vs. Castillo fight was put to bed after the rematch. Had a rematch never occured (with more decisive results), then the argument would be much more "open ended". Either way, I do respect your passion on the topic. |

#156 Posted: 3/5/2012 3:12:12 AM "Alright back at ringside with George Foreman. and George uh, Floyd Mayweather is a remarkably gifted fighter. Surely there are some out there who are saying right now. More gifted than ever." "He says it was a learning experience, but, do you learn just as much when they call it a win as when they call it a loss?" Jim Lampley (after the Castillo fight)

He was out on his feet, and like Richard Steele said " when I see a man whos had enough its over.I dont care how much time is left on the clock."
Mayweather won by 5 rounds (116-111) the 1st fight and by only 2 rounds the 2nd fight (115-113).Plus according to Mayweather he had a torn rotater cuff and he fought with one arm the 1st fight. So he a a harder time beating Castillo when he was "100%".

The truth is he lost the 1st fight (no torn cuff) and barely squeaked out a victory the 2nd fight....

So what's your point? bonds is not the home run king? bro I feel your mex/ Latin pride, but don't let your pride blind you! The year Bonds retired he was post steroids/ post knee surgeries/ 40+ years of age. he obliterated the league in intentional walks and walks, with no bats behind or in front of him. this is while your Latin heroes Pujols, and A-Rod were in their prime!!! That means pitchers were willing to pitch to your heroes than face a shell of what Barry was....Not even close Bro! |
