#52 Posted: 8/22/2010 4:55:05 PM You really have to have the right mind or expectations for whatever movie you are going to.
I mean, you can't go see "Cliffhanger", and go "I wonder if this is a period piece" NO! It's CLIFFHANGER! There is going to be hanging, and there is going to be cliffs! This is not a date movie!
If you're watching The Expendable or Salt or whatever, you can't just say "no way that could ever happen".............it's a movie. You're suspending reality are trying to entertain yourself. If there is bad acting, you're not there looking for an Acadamy Award, you're there to watch something blow up.
Have fun enjoying whatever movie you're going to. Just don't put false expectations on what you think you're going to watch. You'll enjoy it more that way. Then take your girlfriend to Eat Pray Love to show her your "sensitive side" and you can get laid............ |

Nice write up
Actually saw it again this weekend.. I went to see this cast all together in the same movie. I knew it wasn't going to be an academy award winner for best screenplay or anything. I wanted to see a bunch of people get shot by crazy weapons, maybe a stone cold vs Stallone fight.. And I got it. |

Know what you're getting into.
I can enjoy "The Transporter" becuase I know I'm going to see some quality transporting...................
Hawk's Helpful Hint-when the movie title has either "Blood" or "Death" in the title, you might want to expect either blood or death.

Exactly.
Just finished watching it and thought it was a great action movie.
A couple of the stars had too small of rolls but I won't say who to spoil it for others.

#59 Posted: 8/31/2010 12:02:15 AM Watched the DVD Screener tonight and I thought it was Very Good. It was funny and had some great action scenes. The fight scene near the end of the movie in the tunnel was friggin awesome.

#63 Posted: 9/12/2010 9:49:12 AM The Expendables 2 has been green-lite.
Stallone has a script and everyone in the cast is signed on for the 2nd film.
Bruce Willis will play the main villian in this movie.
Van Damme is set to join the cast as well.

#65 Posted: 9/12/2010 10:27:42 AM Yeah I guess from what I read Stallone was going to do another Rambo.
It was actually going to be very different....Rambo returning to AZ and trying to adjust to life back in the US (how the last film left off) and then of course something happens that forces him to get involved on blow up a bunch of people.
That sounds terrible.
He agreed and said the Rambo and Rocky franchises are officially and he hops to make two more Expendable films, maybe with Schwarzenegger having a major starring role in the 3rd film considering he will be done as gov. by then and that could be a safe return to the big screen for him. |

Van Damme just signed on.
Segal is a no for this film....would consider a role thats being talked about for a 3rd film. He did not like the character they wanted him to play for this movie.
Filming begins next summer. |
