seems somewhat ironic to me.

Why is that ironic?
You should be able to carry anywhere in my opinion.

So do you think nothing bad, no criminal, or someone with bad intent could walk into a church with a gun or knife and kill someone?

I mean, I know it's nothing like a school, we all know nothing bad could ever happen there.

Picture an abused woman, that has a restraining order against her ex, and her ex knows she goes to church every sunday at 10am.
Why shouldn't she or someone there have the means to protect her or themselves if he comes after her?

i'm not saying churches shouldn't be allowed to decide if their members can bring a gun in their church or not.  i agree it should be up to them.  but i thought the whole idea of going to church was praising and worshiping their god.  shouldn't that come with more protection than some government law?

Because if you are in church, Jesus Christ is already protecting you with an assault weapon of love and forgiveness.

it is interesting to me that faith/religious organizations did not come out and try to make a statement concerning the murder/suicide incidents in 2012...

one would think that it would have been a time to step up and meet the needs of people who were in disbelief and suffering...

well the westboro baptist church did say something to the effect that the shootings were a product of god unleashing his wrath upon kindergarteners...

so there you go... thats what god thinks and how god works...

bring your gun to a church and open fire and keep doing so until it is a complete mini-Iran theocracy

No doubt. Even the behind the counter gun salesman are making Youtube videos about "proper"gun etiquette. Imagine that.

White trash with a gun and an attitude.

more guns means more people going to prison for possessing and doing things with guns.  the government is happy too.
