Ya @ upwards of -185 that's WAY too much. NOT a smart bet even IF they win and that's a BIG IF. everyone and their DOG on the Blues tonight and LOOK what HAPPENED. |

#7 Posted: 5/1/2012 12:14:05 AM Can't lay the -185. I was hoping for -150 or less, then I would consider making it a play. I might grab the series price at +230 and hope they win the next two giving me a chance to take Phoenix after that and lock in a profit.

This is a complete joke to me. How can you have a team like the preds coming back home where you know they're gonna win game 3. Look at how they've played at home vs the road. To me the worst you can do by betting this is having a hedge with the Yotes after game 3. There is no way pho is still -200 to win this series after they lose game 3. Consider this an early Christmas gift!!!!!!
I'm on the preds ml and pl game 3. This one should be controlled by the preds now that they're back on home ice |

#10 Posted: 5/1/2012 1:54:57 AM a lot of people felt the same way about when the yotes had to travel to chi town and play at the united center where the hawks rarely lose. They won all 3 of those games. Careful with those early christmas gift predictions. Santa might bring you coal |

#11 Posted: 5/1/2012 1:56:30 AM I'll take their TT if I can get 2.5. It has saved me from losing too much this series. This have their futures tho. I need them, well Rinne, to play BIG tomorrow.

Did this theory work out well when the Hawks who were really great all season long at home needed at home win to push it to a game 7 against the yotes.... look what happened, they lost 4-0. Yotes are also 3-0 on the road this postseason and the two losses against the hawks were both at home. If we all bet preds it would be more like an early Christmas gift for the bookies.

#13 Posted: 5/1/2012 2:08:33 AM Just thought i`d throw some regular season stats and playoff stats out there to show that they are two completely different type of games.
Reg Season Playoffs (1st round)
Chicago 27-8-6(H) 18-18-5(A) 0-3(H) 2-1(A)
Phoenix 22-13-6(H) 20-14-7(A) 1-2(H) 3-0(A)

#14 Posted: 5/1/2012 3:18:17 AM The preds are a different team at home than the hawks. They're a better team period. This is all about the preds and how they play. If they play close to what they have all season except for the last 2 games we're talking about then evening up the series Friday night. Rinne will return to form these next 2 games just watch.
Everyone is scared to lay -180 after watching the first 2 games. That's exactly why this is the play next game. It's that simple. No need to complicate things |

#15 Posted: 5/1/2012 3:35:12 AM bustyourbook.. they might win and they might not. But why would you want to lay so much juice on it? It's a playoff game... anything can happen..It's honestly a toss up to me. You cant just assure yourself they are going to win just because they're at home. After all, it's not the crowd that got them all the way to the 2nd round of the playoffs. It's the players and the goalie, and at this moment Phoenix has the big edge and momentum. Most likely, nashville will take 1 of 2 yes it might happen but why lay the heavy -180 and sweat for 60 minutes. Bookies want you to play the heavy juice and they know bettors, especially people who never bet hockey assume it is a guaranteed winner at home. Phoenix is a much better pick especially being a huge dog like that. It's either that or nothing. |

good point AND the Blackhawks had outplayed the Coyotes even more so than the Predlies did in Phoenix. that game 6 @ United Center was complete "Fav-pocalypse". everyone and their Aunt Mary figured the Bhwaks were a "lock" in that game and look what happened.
Coyotes probably the MOST "under-rated team" left in the playoffs
(Quebec City is gonna LOVE these guys) |

#18 Posted: 5/2/2012 11:23:58 PM It really shouldn't be this easy.
Better hit the opener game 4 because there's only 1 way this line is moving.
Game 4 is about as easy as it gets boys. 2-2 back to pho it will be!!!!!!!
Please don't try to over analyze it. Looks like Christmas is coming twice this year in may!!!!!!!! |

#19 Posted: 5/3/2012 12:11:07 AM Saw the series price hit +240 tonight so I had to grab some of it. I think they take the next one at home in pretty comfortable fashion. Game 5 should be another dog fight, and I can't wait to see it.
