According to my sources, this year America has been chosen to win it all. If my book had a prop for them to win it I would bet it. Today is game 1.

Todays pick:
America PK 5 units

I hate America, but my sources are usually correct. GL all

Hard to believe. Monterrey, Tigres and Santos have better players and they have been playing better longer than America has. Last year America was terrible and this is first tournament of new coach. America lost 0-1 vs Tigres and 2-3 vs Monterrey (both at home) they won 3-1 vs Santos (without 6 starters). This tourney America won against lower teams and got beat by bigger teams. Maybe they can draw tonight but i don't see them winning it all. They will lose big time in Monterrey, for them reaching the semifinals is an accomplishment.

It's a Draw!! though i didn't get it totally right as i thought it was going to be an exiciting draw instead of a boring draw. Well, maybe the check got lost on it's way to the referee or the players did not get the memo. As we can all see, America is a not winning the title, and the mexican league is not as fix as all of you think. I don't think Tigres repeats and Santos has the "super leader curse" to worry about so i clearly see Monterrey as the best team and future mexican champion, that is of course if America again fails to buy the referees on the away match.

Argentum, i agree with you Monterrey has been playing solid, they should be able to win it at home but remember that also america is one of the best away teams, santos is very solid but the teams from monterrey own them in playoff, i sure hope to see a final in mty vs tigres that will be crazy, but we ahall see. U got to remember that america is known for bein favored by the refs however tofay we were proven wrong!!!! Great job by the ref.

Be, America might be one of better away teams but against poor teams, the fact is that they lost against the better teams and of the final 4 teams they are the weakest. And that thing you say about America been favored by referees is just an urban legend, it is a matter of perception, when a reff blows it in favor of the most popular and hated team perception leads to believe they are helping them or the team is buying the ref when in reality reffs are human and they make mistakes in any game with or against any team. If this perception that America has been favored by the reffs was true, then they would win the title every single year, reality says that they have won twice since 1990 and they have experienced very bad seasons.

Argentum, negative the weakest team of the four is Tigres and that is based on pure statistics.  and I am guessing you have been following the mexican soccer, then you know that America has been favored many many many times by the refs, that is not urban legend, just look at the game against Pachuca; a clear PK and a goal taken away by the refs.  I am not saying that that is the reason why they are in Semifinals, I believe they are there because they have great individual players and they also are in fact the best team physically speaking, and if you watched the game last nite, you know that they looked fresh at the end, scary for that type of tension on the game.  Also it takes more than a ref to be able to win titles, and you know that, America has struggled the last 20 years, and I believe they will continue to struggle for while because the pressure on that team is not the same as the pressure in Toluca, or Tijuana, or Chiapas, they are on the spot line all the time, they are a media magnet and that most of the times gets the players.  I honestly believe that they do not buy players or refs, I was being sarcastic, but I do believe that the pressure of being on a team that strong economically and socially gets to many players and at the end they choke.  I am from Monterrey and I am a vivid fan of Tigres, andI also like Rayados because they are from there, I believe they have a great chance to pass to the final, but I also think that America is motivated because they have a coach that is literally an idiot and he believes that they are the best and the message has gone far  within the players. my pick will be for Rayados this weekend, because el Piojo has stated that el TEC has no weight with the visting teams   I sure hope to see a final in Monterrey because the fans deserve it, would I see it? doubt it, but I can only hope right?  BOL with your plays brother and I am glad to share information with you my man!!

Thanks for taking the time be2winn, very solid arguments. Don't be so negative on your Tigres, remember the super leader curse that Santos has to deal with, besides they beat them last year and i am pretty sure they will do it again, Santos defense is awful, don't be carried away by that 3-0 on regular season as before that game Tigres had won 5 straight. Just imagine a final between Monterrrey and Tigres, that is what everyone wants to see. One thing i don't get is why you say you are vivid Tigres fan and also support Monterrey, i am Boca Jrs fan and couldn't be happier that River is living misery in second division. bol and respect your opinions a lot.

jajajajajja, yeah I know brother, I am a vivid fan of Tigres and my money will be on them today at -.5, and the main reason why I support the Rayados is because because they have the same mentality as southamerican teams, they play hard in international tournaments (no luck in Japan this past year) but they are looking forward to this one.  other than that in Mexico cup, I am a TIgres 100%.  and dudeeeee, Boca played great game yesterday, I hope they do not have to face Corinthinas until the end they are my pk to take it all.  BOL and we will keep in touch brother!!

And yes, Riquelme was lights out yesterday, too bad we are facing all the brazilian teams, first the winner of Inter vs Fluminense, then a possible game against Corinthians in semis and Santos could be waiting for the final game. It's gonna be very tough man! Velez has more chances because of path and depth but if Roman keeps playing like this.... who knows, anything can happen!
