Unions strangle companies. That's why Boeing wanted to move work to a right to work state. Oh and Don you don't know my relationship with my employees so quit with the personal attacks or I will have to ask wall to box you.

So whats wrong with workers uniting together to get the best pay package. You hate unions and thats your choice, personally i dont give a rats behind about you or your business. Am not gonna convince you unions are good thing,because you own a business and are one of these type of guys who probably pays workers the least possible, you can without losing workers Unions didnt ruin the country, the greedy corporation fat cats did, because of them wanting to get their products made for by people they pay a couple of dollars a day.

That and a union increases the cost of doing business by said company- not with wages but with administrative BS. And you are right- I would pay someone $50 an hour if I can pay them $30. The whole ship has to float not just that one employee. My industry is a skilled industry so I don't have to worry about min wage. My ppl make top dollar and I have very very low turn over. I wonder of your wife will just walk in tomorrow and give all her staff $5 an hour raises. Why shouldn't she right??

Yes they wants to lower their payroll costs as well as their administrative cost, reap tax incentives offered in order to set up shop there. States that are too expensive to do biz in will find themselves losing jobs and everyone will cry about another broke town that needs a bailout. They had good jobs but wanted more in taxes and basically cut their own throats. Connecticut is doing it right now. Google UTC - Goodrich deal and get educated.
