Recap

Ducks 3, Blues 2: Captain Ryan Getzlaf recorded a goal and an assist as visiting Anaheim held off a late comeback attempt to win for the 19th time in 21 games.

Matt Beleskey and defenseman Cam Fowler also scored as the Ducks bounced back from a 4-2 road loss to reigning Stanley Cup champion Chicago on Friday. Rookie Frederik Andersen turned aside 34 shots - 15 in the third period - to win his third straight start and beat St. Louis for the second time this season.

Defenseman Barret Jackman and Jaden Schwartz scored third-period goals for the Blues, who lost for the third time in four games and have suffered back-to-back home defeats for the first time this season. Brian Elliott made 18 saves in suffering his second straight regulation loss following a 9-0-1 stretch.

Getzlaf had the only goal of the first period, snapping the puck past Elliott from the slot off a pass from Corey Perry. Beleskey doubled the lead at 2:27 of the middle session with a seemingly harmless wrist shot that trickled by Elliott before Fowler made it 3-0 less than seven minutes later with a bullet from the top of the left faceoff circle during a power play

St. Louis made a belated comeback as Jackman connected on a wrist shot from the left point midway through the third before Schwartz cut the deficit to one with a power-play tally with 5:29 remaining. Schwartz took a pass from T.J. Oshie and banked a shot off Andersen from along the end line.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Getzlaf tied his career high with his 25th goal, a plateau he also reached in 2006-07 and 2008-09. ... Blues D Alex Pietrangelo picked up an assist on his 24th birthday and has 10 points in his last eight games. ... Ducks C Nick Bonino collected two assists to give him 12 points in his last 10 contests.
