Recap

Stars 4, Blackhawks 3: Antoine Roussel scored the go-ahead goal on a penalty shot 3:01 into the third period and Kari Lehtonen made 47 saves as visiting Dallas held on to beat Chicago for the first time in seven games.

Valeri Nichushkin recorded a goal and an assist while Alex Chiasson and Erik Cole also scored for the Stars, who coughed up a 3-0 lead before Roussel netted his fifth of the season. Lehtonen stopped all 16 shots he faced in the third period to earn his 11th win of the season in his 400th career game.

Defensemen Johnny Oduya and Nick Leddy scored just over a minute apart in the second and Patrick Sharp added a tally for the Blackhawks, who saw their six-game winning streak come to an end. Patrick Kane registered a pair of assists and Corey Crawford stopped 14 shots for Chicago, which lost in regulation at home for only the second time (9-2-3).

Just after a flurry of chances for Chicago, Nichushkin took a drop pass from Cody Eakin in the slot and snapped a wrist shot between Crawford’s pads 13:47 into the game. The Stars doubled the lead on the power play as Chiasson got his stick on defenseman Alex Goligoski’s shot with 1:10 left in the opening period.

Cole gave Dallas a 3-0 lead early in the middle session, but Sharp started the comeback with a slap shot through a crowd during a power play at 9:39. Leddy brought the Blackhawks closer with 3:51 left in the period with a shot from the bottom of right faceoff circle, and Oduya’s screen shot just 65 seconds later forged a tie.
