Wild 4, Senators 3: Captain Mikko Koivu scored the game-winning goal with 2:57 to play and added a pair of assists as Minnesota won in Ottawa for the first time in more than 10 years.

Jason Pominville had a power-play goal and defenseman Jonas Brodin and former Senator Dany Heatley scored just over three minutes apart in the second period as the Wild improved to 8-1-1 in their last 10. Josh Harding turned aside 34 shots and Zach Parise collected a pair of assists to give Minnesota its first victory in Ottawa since February 2003.

Mika Zibanejad had a goal and an assist and Kyle Turris and Milan Michalek scored for the Senators, who absorbed their third consecutive defeat and fourth in five games. Craig Anderson made 21 saves to fall to 1-6-0 since Oct. 24.

Turris' short-handed tally, set up by a between-the-legs pass from Clarke MacArthur, opened the scoring at 5:54 of the first. Pominville buried a shot from the bottom of the left circle on the power play 59 seconds later but Zibanejad reclaimed the lead by scoring off a scramble in front while prone on the ice just over five minutes later.

Minnesota rallied in the second when Brodin's seemingly harmless shot from the right point got past Harding three minutes into the period before Heatley tucked a puck past the goaltender from behind the net after fanning on a pass attempt 3:15 later. Michalek pulled Ottawa even by converting a rebound on the power play at 8:57 of the third, halting a nine-game goalless drought.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Wild had a goal overturned just over seven minutes into the second period when it was ruled that Koivu kicked the puck into the net. ... Turris' short-handed tally was the first allowed by Minnesota since Jan. 17, 2012, while Pominville's power-play tally was the seventh surrendered by the Senators in the past five games. ... Heatley, who had a pair of 50-goal seasons with Ottawa, scored his first goal in four games against the Senators since he asked to be traded.
