Wild 7, Stars 4: Kyle Brodziak snapped a tie with a short-handed goal with 7:22 remaining in the third period and Minnesota scored twice more in the final 1:28 to post its sixth consecutive victory and halt a 16-game winless streak in Dallas.
Zach Parise recorded two goals and an assist while Matt Cullen, captain Mikko Koivu and Pierre-Marc Bouchard all added one of each for the Wild, who won in Dallas for the first time since March 21, 2003. Niklas Backstrom made 22 saves and Dany Heatley also scored as eight different players registered multi-point performances for Minnesota.
Alex Goligoski notched a goal and an assist, fellow defensemen Trevor Daley and Philip Larsen also tallied and Kari Lehtonen stopped 35 shots for Dallas, which is 1-1-0 on its five-game homestand. Jaromir Jagr added a power-play goal but remained stuck at 999 career assists.
After Larsen forged the fourth tie of the game at 7:02 of the third, Brodziak - who also had an assist - buried the rebound of Cal Clutterbuck's shot from the left faceoff circle to give the Wild a 5-4 advantage. Heatley created breathing room with 88 seconds left and Bouchard sealed the win with an empty-netter in the waning moments.
Minnesota erased three one-goal deficits before taking its first lead of the game with 5:38 remaining in the second period. Cullen found a loose puck during a scramble in the bottom of the right circle and fired it past Lehtonen for his 200th career goal and a 4-3 edge.
