Jets 5, Maple Leafs 4 (SO): Zach Bogosian scored in the 10th round of the shootout as visiting Winnipeg defeated Toronto for the second time in five days.

Blake Wheeler, who scored two goals in the Jets' 5-2 victory over the Maple Leafs on Tuesday, added two more as part of a four-goal second period for Winnipeg. James Wright and Antti Miettinen also tallied in the session to chase Ben Scrivens and Ondrej Pavelec stopped 28 shots as the Jets improved to 5-0-1 in their last six contests.

Joffrey Lupul scored twice in his first game since breaking his forearm on Jan. 23. Nikolai Kulemin and Phil Kessel also tallied for the Maple Leafs, who are winless in their last five contests (0-3-2). James Reimer made seven saves in relief of Scrivens, who was pulled after allowing four goals on 26 shots in two periods.

After Wheeler and Tyler Bozak scored in the first and second rounds respectively, the goaltenders took center stage before Bogosian ended the lengthy shootout by skating in and firing a wrist shot over Reimer's glove.

Winnipeg trailed 1-0 after the first period, but outshot Toronto 15-8 in the second. Wheeler scored goals 3:26 apart, chopping a loose puck in the slot past Scrivens and converting on a wraparound opportunity to give the Jets a 4-1 lead. Kulemin and Lupul scored 25 seconds apart late in the period to pull Toronto within one. Kessel scored his 10th on a long breakaway pass by Bozak 5:50 into the third period.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lupul scored on the first shot of his first shift, taking a pass from Nazem Kadri and firing a backhand from the slot past Pavelec. … Wright’s goal was his first since Nov. 7, 2009, when he was a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning. … Winnipeg, which killed off both short-handed situations, hasn't allowed a power-play goal in its last 11 games (28 opportunities).
