Recap

Stars 5, Kings 2: Captain Brenden Morrow snapped a tie 5:16 into the third period and Jaromir Jagr scored twice as visiting Dallas continued its success on the road while ending Los Angeles' six-game home winning streak.

Cody Eakin recorded a goal and an assist, Antoine Roussel added an empty-netter and Kari Lehtonen made 31 saves for the Stars, who improved to 6-1-1 in their last eight away from home.

Trevor Lewis and Jeff Carter scored while Jonathan Quick stopped 17 shots for Los Angeles, which had earned a point in eight straight at home (7-0-1) following a season-opening loss to Chicago at the Staples Center.

After converting a power-play chance with 1:14 remaining in the second period to forge a tie, Eakin delivered a cross-crease pass to Morrow, who scored from the right side to give Dallas a 3-2 edge. Jagr doubled the advantage by burying a rebound from the left faceoff circle at 9:40 and Roussel sealed the win with 1:41 to play.

Jagr opened the scoring during a power play 5 1/2 minutes into the contest, but Lewis put a shot from the bottom of the left circle under the crossbar for the equalizer at 12:10. Carter gave the Kings the lead with 4 1/2 minutes left in the second as his pass attempt caromed off defenseman Jordie Benn's skate and past Lehtonen.
