Blue Jackets 2, Canucks 1 (OT): Matt Calvert scored his fourth goal of the season 4:03 into overtime as host Columbus won its season-high third straight game.

Calvert outmuscled Vancouver defenseman Alex Edler along the side boards before cutting into the slot and putting a wrist shot over Cory Schneider's glove for his first goal in six games.

R.J. Umberger also scored for the Blue Jackets, who have played beyond regulation in each of their last five games. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 34 shots and has earned all three victories during the streak.

Canucks captain Henrik Sedin tied the game 65 seconds into the third period and Schneider made 25 saves as Vancouver’s winless streak reached three games. The Northwest Division leaders have one win in their last six contests and haven’t scored a power-play goal in seven.

Umberger opened the scoring midway through the first period, burying a loose puck after Nick Foligno’s wrap-around attempt hit the far post. Sedin grabbed the rebound of defenseman Dan Hamhuis' shot at the side of the net and fired the puck over an outstretched Bobrovsky to even it early in the third.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Sedin has eight points during his six-game streak. … Canucks RW Jannik Hansen, who entered the game with a goal in each of his last three, had a short-handed breakaway with the score tied late in the third period but couldn’t fool Bobrovsky with his wrist shot. … Calvert led all Columbus players with five shots. Edler led Vancouver with six.
