Recap

Capitals 4, Bruins 3 (OT): Eric Fehr set up Wojtek Wolski's game-tying goal before capping his three-point night by scoring 37 seconds into overtime as host Washington overcame a three-goal deficit to record its seventh win in 10 outings.

Mike Ribeiro tallied for the second straight contest and Tomas Kundratek netted his first career NHL goal. Nicklas Backstrom notched three assists and Braden Holtby finished with 30 saves for the Capitals, who ended Boston's bid to repeat as Stanley Cup champion following seven tight-knit one-goal games in the spring.

Brad Marchand scored on a penalty shot and captain Zdeno Chara and fellow defenseman Dougie Hamilton also tallied. David Krejci notched a pair of assists for the Bruins, who saw their four-game road winning streak come to an end.

Wolski settled Fehr's backhanded chip pass in the slot and backhanded the puck past Tuukka Rask (22 saves) to level the contest at 3-3 with 6:05 remaining in the third period. In overtime, Fehr sent the Verizon Center into a frenzy by splitting Hamilton and fellow blue-liner Dennis Seidenberg before lifting a shot under the crossbar for his fifth goal of the season.

After Hamilton unleashed a blast from the high slot to give Boston a 3-0 lead, Washington answered as Ribeiro converted captain Alex Oveckin's feed at 5:46 of the second period. Kundratek brought Washington within one nearly six minutes later after wiring a shot following an offensive faceoff win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bruins jumped out of the blocks in a hurry as Marchand netted his team-leading 12th goal after converting a penalty shot at 6:29 of the first period. After being hooked to the ice by Ovechkin, Marchand skated in and used a series of dekes before sliding the puck between the pads of Holtby. ... Rask fell to 0-2-2 in four regular-season matchups versus the Capitals. ... Prior to the game, Washington placed D Mike Green on injured reserve. Green has missed five of the last seven contests with a groin injury. The Capitals waived veteran D Roman Hamrlik, who was signed to a two-year, $7 million contract before the season. Hamrlik has appeared in just four contests this season.
