Predators 3, Kings 0: Colin Wilson recorded his second career two-goal performance and Pekka Rinne made 32 saves as host Nashville extended its winning streak to four games.
Gabriel Bourque also scored and defenseman Kevin Klein notched a pair of assists for the Predators, who improved to 1-0-2 at home this season despite being outshot 32-14.
Bourque opened the scoring 2:54 into the contest and Wilson doubled the lead 7:01 into the second period by beating Jonathan Quick from the slot following a feed through traffic from Klein. Wilson capped his first two-goal effort since Dec. 28, 2010 against Dallas by burying the rebound of captain Shea Weber's blast from the blue line during a power play with 6:58 left in the session.
Rinne was busiest in the second period, turning aside 20 shots. The goaltender needed to make only eight saves in the first session and four in the third to record his 26th career shutout and first this campaign.
Quick stopped 11 shots for the Kings, who fell to 1-2-0 on their five-game road trip.
