PREDATORS 2, WILD 1 (SO): Alexander Radulov scored the lone goal of the shootout as Nashville moved one point ahead of idle Detroit for fourth place in the Western Conference.

Gabriel Bourque tallied in regulation and Anders Lindback made 25 saves for the Predators, who have won 21 of 28 at home.

Participating in his first career shootout, Lindback denied Wild captain Mikko Koivu before Radulov deked to his backhand and beat Niklas Backstrom to the stick side. Lindback turned aside Devin Setoguchi's third-round attempt, clinching the win.

After a scoreless first period, Nashville got on the board with 7 1/2 minutes remaining in the second. Nick Spaling pounced on a turnover by Minnesota defenseman Clayton Stoner in the right faceoff circle and backhanded a pass to Bourque, who beat Backstrom from the doorstep for his second goal in three games.

The Wild evened the contest with 2:07 left in the session as Dany Heatley deflected blue-liner Nate Prosser's one-timer from the right point past Lindback. Heatley, who leads Minnesota with 23 tallies, has scored two goals in as many games after netting two in his previous 22 contests.

Backstrom stopped 23 shots for Minnesota, which had its three-game winning streak snapped.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Nashville netminder Pekka Rinne was not with the team due to illness. Chet Pickard, who joined the club after completing the season with the ECHL's Cincinnati Cylones on Sunday, dressed as Lindback's backup. ... Minnesota has lost seven of nine and 21 of 27 on the road. It also has dropped eight straight on Tuesdays. ... The Predators have won six of seven overall against the Wild and five in a row at home.
