MAPLE LEAFS 3, LIGHTNING 1: James Reimer made 34 saves as visiting Toronto snapped a five-game losing streak and beat Tampa Bay for the third time in three tries.

Reimer, who had not won since Feb. 14, turned aside 25 shots in the final two periods and got goals from defensemen Jake Gardiner and John-Michael Liles. Martin St. Louis’ goal with 25.9 seconds remaining ended Reimer’s shutout bid.

Joey Crabb also scored the Toronto and Matthew Lombardi had a pair of assists.

Toronto received a power play just seven seconds into the game and capitalized. Liles finished a nifty give-and-go with Mikhail Grabovski at 1:09.

Crabb knocked home a Lombardi pass at 3:27 of the second period to give the Leafs a 2-0 lead. Tampa Bay starter Dustin Tokarski’s night ended at 12:28 when defenseman Gardiner beat him through the 5-hole to make it 3-0. The goal came on a 4-on-4, just after Tampa Bay coach Guy Boucher was called for a bench minor for abusive language toward the officials.

Tokarski was replaced by Dwayne Roloson after stopping seven of 10 shots.

GAME NOTEBOOK: It was Lombardi’s second two-point game of the season. He had two goals against the New York Islanders back on Jan. 23. … Tampa Bay is 4-10-2 against Canadian teams, including an 0-7 mark vs. Ottawa and Toronto. … Tampa Bay’s Ryan Malone saw his seven-game point streak end. … The Leafs have scored 17 goals in three games against the Lightning.
