Patrick Kane beat Jaroslav Halak and Corey Crawford stopped David Perron to decide the shootout as host Chicago snapped St. Louis’ six-game winning streak.

Kane, the first shooter, fooled Halak through the five-hole with a move to the backhand. Crawford, who relieved Ray Emery in the second period, stopped 18 shots and all three of the Blues shooters.

Brent Seabrook tied the game 3-3 on the power play at 7:41 of the third period, ripping a shot from the point through a maze of skates and sticks to snap the Blues’ penalty-killing streak at 51 straight.

St. Louis lost for only the second time in 11 games and is 2-2-1 versus Chicago this season.

The first period was a flurry of goals with Andrew Brunette opening scoring at 2:51 of the first period on pass from Marian Hossa, fooling Halak top corner.

Jamie Langenbrunner answered just under a minute later, unleashing a slap shot from the right side to beat a crowded Emery.

Andy McDonald put the Blues ahead 2-1 on a slick backhand feed from David Perron in the slot and Patrik Berglund made it 3-1 later in the period.

Viktor Stalberg pulled Chicago to within one, getting his stick on Patrick Sharp’s shot at 14:13 of second period.
