Recap

FLAMES 4, COYOTES 2
: Mike Cammalleri, Curtis Glencross and Olli Jokinen scored in a 3:14 span late in the first period and Calgary held on to halt a six-game losing streak against host Phoenix.

Captain Jarome Iginla scored a goal and set up another while Alex Tanguay notched two assists for the Flames, who stopped a four-game skid while extending their point streak on the road to nine contests (5-0-4).

Calgary scored three goals in a 3:14 span late in the first period to seemingly take control. Cammalleri converted a cross-slot pass from Tanguay with 5:51 remaining and Glencross beat Mike Smith from below the left faceoff circle while shorthanded less than two minutes later for a 2-0 lead.

Jokinen completed the outburst with 2:37 to play, pouncing on a turnover in the low slot and backhanding the puck past a sprawled Smith for his 20th goal of the season. It is the first time Jokinen has reached the plateau since 2008-09.

Phoenix, which began the day two points ahead of San Jose for first in the Pacific Division, fought back in the second to cut the deficit to one.

All-Star defenseman Keith Yandle's one-timer from the right point was deflected past Miikka Kiprusoff by Raffi Torres during a power play 87 seconds into the period and blue-liner Michal Rozsival buried a loose puck in the right circle 2:21 later for his first tally since March 24.

However, Iginla scored into an empty net during a power play late in the third to seal the win.

Smith made 27 saves but had his 11-game winning streak snapped as the Coyotes failed to earn a point for the first time since Jan. 31 (11-1-1). Phoenix had won six straight overall and seven in a row at home.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Calgary defenseman Jay Bouwmeester played in his 570th consecutive game, tying Mark Recchi for the eighth-longest streak in NHL history. Bouwmeester is six games away from matching Billy Harris for seventh and 10 behind Johnny Wilson for sixth. ... Phoenix's Ray Whitney was kept off the scoresheet, ending his six-game points streak. ... Glencross' goal was his 20th of the season. He is four tallies shy of his career high set last campaign.
