: David Krejci completed his second career hat trick at 2:59 of overtime as host Boston wrapped up a sweep of its four-game season series with New Jersey.

Tyler Seguin recorded a goal and an assist while fellow All-Star Zdeno Chara and Milan Lucic each notched two assists for the Bruins, who had been shut out in each of their previous two home games.

After tying the game 5 1/2 minutes into the third period, Krejci gave Boston just its second win in six contests at TD Garden. Chara was unable to handle Patrice Bergeron's pass from behind the net, but Krejci got the puck in the low slot and fired it just under the crossbar for his 16th tally of the season.

Boston jumped out to a 2-0 lead as Krejci and Seguin scored less than seven minutes apart early in the first period.

New Jersey stormed back in the second to move ahead. Captain Zach Parise converted a 2-on-1 rush 6 1/2 minutes into the session, Patrik Elias buried a loose puck from the left side of the net with just under six minutes remaining and David Clarkson stuffed the puck past All-Star Tim Thomas at the left post with 2:14 to go.

Clarkson, who scored a combined 23 goals over the previous two seasons, is tied with Ilya Kovalchuk for the team lead with 25 tallies.

Krejci forged a 3-3 tie by chipping the puck over Martin Brodeur from the left side of the crease 5 1/2 minutes into the third.

Brodeur stopped 21 shots for the Devils, who have lost four in a row overall and fell to 0-1-1 on their four-game road trip.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Seguin's goal ended his 10-game drought while Elias scored for just the second time in 15 contests. Elias' tally was his 20th of the season, making New Jersey the only NHL team with four 20-goal scorers. ... Clarkson tallied for the fourth time in six matches. ... Defenseman Greg Zanon made his Bruins debut after being acquired from Minnesota on Monday, blocking three shots in just under 15 minutes of ice time.
