BLUES 3, PREDATORS 2 (SO): T.J. Oshie and Andy McDonald scored in the shootout as St. Louis kicked off its six-game road trip with its first win over Nashville in five tries this season.

Chris Stewart and Vladimir Sobotka tallied in regulation for the Blues, who halted a two-game losing streak.

Rookie defenseman Roman Josi and Colin Wilson scored for the Predators, who have earned at least one point in 10 consecutive home games (8-0-2).

Oshie began the shootout by beating Pekka Rinne with a backhander. After Jaroslav Halak denied Wilson, McDonald slipped a backhander between Rinne's pads to give St. Louis the edge.

Martin Erat lost control of the puck and never got off a shot on Nashville's next attempt, clinching the win for the Blues.

St. Louis took a 1-0 lead just over four minutes into the game on Stewart's 13th goal of the season. Jason Arnott's backhander from the left side hit the left post and caromed into the crease, where it hit Stewart's skate and entered the net.

Josi converted a 2-on-1 rush less than three minutes into the second to forge a tie, and Wilson reached around St. Louis blue-liner Roman Polak and beat Halak with a backhander from the low slot 10 minutes later for a 2-1 advantage.

Sobotka evened the contest 34 seconds later as he backhanded a loose puck past Rinne for his fourth tally of the campaign and second in four games.
