BLACKHAWKS 3, BLUES 1: Dave Bolland scored to snap a tie with just under seven minutes remaining in the third period as Chicago collected its third straight victory following a season-high nine-game losing skid.

Corey Crawford turned aside 29 shots and defenseman Duncan Keith and Marian Hossa tallied for the Blackhawks, who handed St. Louis just its second regulation loss when leading after two periods (25-2-1).

Andy McDonald scored for the third straight contest and All-Star Brian Elliott finished with 24 saves for the Blues, who fell five points behind Central Division-leading Detroit. The Red Wings extended their home winning streak to 23 consecutive games with a 3-2 triumph over the San Jose Sharks on Sunday afternoon.

With the game tied at 1-1, Bolland wristed a shot which caromed off the skate of captain David Backes and past Elliott for his 17th goal of the season with 6:57 remaining in the contest. Bolland is now two goals shy of matching his career high, set in the 2008-09 campaign.

Keith ended Elliott's bid for his second straight shutout and seventh of the season at 4:52 of the third period. The defenseman leveled the contest at 1-1 after wiring a shot from the slot past Elliott for his first tally since Jan. 20.

McDonald opened the scoring with 24 seconds remaining in the first period. Jamie Langenbrunner's sharp-angle shot from along the boards was denied by Crawford, but McDonald was able to locate the loose puck near the netminder's pads and put it into the net.

After a short review, the goal was allowed to stand after it was deemed that the puck hit a stick after McDonald kicked it before entering the goal.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Elliott's shutout streak ended at 163 minutes, 53 seconds. His career high is 174:35. ... Chicago failed on all three power-play opportunities on Sunday to drop to 0 for 30 in its last 11 games. ... Patrick Sharp and Bolland each had four shots on goal.
