Recap
BLUES 4, WILD 0: Ryan Reaves and Barret Jackman each scored their first goals of the season as St. Louis continued its home dominance with a win over struggling Minnesota on Saturday.
Brian Elliott turned aside 13 shots for his sixth shutout of the season as the Blues improved to 26-3-4 at the Scottrade Center. St. Louis has earned points in 21 straight home games (18-0-3).
Josh Harding made 30 saves for Minnesota, which has dropped seven straight games.
Reaves opened the scoring midway through the opening period, pouncing on a loose puck in the slot and slapping a low shot past Harding. It was his first goal since Jan. 13, 2011, a span of 64 games.
Jackman erased his own personal goose-egg early in the second period, beating Harding with a slapshot to end a 150-game goalless drought.
Andy McDonald padded the lead on a St. Louis power play, tipping in an Alex Pietrangelo shot with 41 seconds remaining in the frame.
Vladimir Sobotka iced things with a blast from the point that eluded Harding 8:11 into the final period.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Jackman briefly held the longest active streak of games without a goal after Anaheim's Sheldon Brookbank ended a 166-game dry spell with a goal Friday night against New Jersey. ... Wild C Warren Peters was hit with a five-minute cross-checking major and a game misconduct for belting Blues F David Backes in the head with 4:30 remaining. ... St. Louis has 12 shutouts on the year, tops in the NHL.
