Recap

DUCKS 2, PENGUINS 1: Teemu Selanne scored to snap a tie nearly eight minutes into the third period and Jonas Hiller turned aside 25 shots as Anaheim continued its late-season surge by halting Pittsburgh's six-game home winning streak.

Corey Perry recorded his sixth goal in five contests and 14th in 2012 for the Ducks, who improved to 14-2-3 in their last 19 games. Anaheim now sits six points behind the eighth-place Phoenix Coyotes in the Western Conference.

With the game tied at 1-1, Selanne accepted a brilliant feed from Matt Beleskey and backhanded the puck past Marc-Andre Fleury for his 19th goal of the season and 656th career. The tally, which came at 7:51 of the third period, tied the veteran Finn with Brendan Shanahan for 12th place all-time in NHL history while moving him into 21st place with 1,392 career points.

After Jordan Staal scored for the second time in three contests since returning from a knee injury, Perry leveled the contest with 52 seconds left in the second period. The reigning Hart Trophy winner worked around defenseman Zbynek Michalek and wristed the puck under Fleury's left pad and into the net for his 28th goal of the season.

Fleury, who was denied in his bid for his 30th win of the season, fell to 10-2-1 in his last 13 starts after stopping 27 shots.

GAME NOTEBOOK: All-Star Evgeni Malkin saw his five-game point streak come to an end. The league's Second Star of the Week, Malkin also saw his eight-game goal-scoring streak in the Steel City go by the boards. He sat five shy of team owner Mario Lemieux for the franchise record. ... The Penguins fell to 11-3-1 in their last 15 games.
