Kyle Turris had a goal and an assist and Jason Spezza added two assists as Ottawa snapped a five-game losing streak to the Sharks and won in San Jose for the first time since 2003.

Defenseman Erik Karlsson also scored a goal as the Senators improved to 10-1-1 in their last 12 games and extended their road winning streak to five games.

Anderson beat the Sharks for only the third time in nine career starts and has won 10 of his last 12 starts overall (10-1-1).

Brad Winchester scored the lone goal for San Jose, which fell to 7-2-1 this month and lost for only the third time in 11 home games (8-2-1).

Karlsson drilled a one-timer past Antti Niemi 4 1/2 minutes into the second period to put the Senators ahead to stay. It was Karlsson's 45th point, matching his career high from last season.
