Recap
Dominic Moore scored the deciding goal with 3:45 remaining as the Tampa Bay Lightning snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 5-3 victory over the visiting Boston Bruins on Tuesday.
Moore drilled a shot that beat Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas glove side, giving the Lightning their first victory in 2012. Steven Stamkos added an empty-net goal with 20.2 seconds left.
Ryan Malone poked in a rebound 4:58 into the third period to give Tampa Bay a 3-2 lead. But Daniel Paille equalized on a shorthanded breakaway at 10:53.
Nathan Horton recorded two goals for the third time in seven games for the Bruins, both in the second period. Boston is 1-2 on its four-game road trip.
Defenseman Matt Gilroy had his third two-assist game of the season for Tampa Bay.
The Bruins, who won at Florida in a shootout 3-2 Monday, came out a bit sluggish and the Lightning took advantage in the first period. Vincent Lecavalier found a rebound in front and scored his fourth goal in six games at 7:11 for a 1-0 lead.
Horton’s two goals sandwiched a Tom Pyatt tally for the Lightning in the second period. All three were scored on rebounds.
