Andrej Meszaros scored the game-winner at 8:08 of the the third period as the Philadelphia Flyers edged the host Montreal Canadiens 4-3 Thursday night for their seventh consecutive victory.

Meszaros scored his third goal of the year off a feed from Jaromir Jagr, blasting the puck past Montreal netminder Carey Price.

Matt Carle added three assists and Sergei Bobrovsky made 27 saves as the Flyers improved to 12-3-1 on the road.

After Max Talbot opened the scoring in the first period, the two teams went back and forth in the middle frame, as Montreal tallied three times to eliminate Flyers’ leads.

First, David Desharnais was allowed to walk out from behind the net and roof the puck through traffic and over Bobrovsky to tie the game at one.

Harry Zolnierczyk gave the Flyers the lead back just 46 seconds later, only to have Montreal native Louis Leblanc electrify the Bell Centre when he buried his first NHL goal to tie the game again.

Wayne Simmonds, with his fourth goal in four games, put the Flyers up 3-2 when he grabbed a puck from the side of the net, pulled it to himself in front of Price and poked in the loose puck. But Montreal rallied for a third time, this time on the power play, when Max Pacioretty’s shot deflected in off Erik Cole with just 16 seconds remaining in the period.
