Bobby Ryan netted his second goal of the game to snap a tie with 49 seconds remaining in the third period as the Anaheim Ducks recorded their first win under Bruce Boudreau with a 3-2 triumph over the visiting Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday.
Reigning Hart Trophy recipient Corey Perry netted his fifth goal in seven games and Jonas Hiller turned aside 37 shots for Anaheim, which won for only the second time in 11 contests.
For the third straight game under Boudreau's watch, Anaheim watched a multi-goal lead go by the boards. The Ducks squandered a three-goal advantage in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers and a two-goal cushion in a 5-3 setback to the Minnesota Wild.
With Tuesday's game tied 2-2, veteran Teemu Selanne won a faceoff in the offensive zone and Ryan fended off defenseman Rob Scuderi before chipping the puck over the shoulder of Jonathan Quick.
Anaheim gave the Honda Center residents reason to worry when defenseman Slava Voynov put Los Angeles on the scoreboard with 16 seconds remaining in the second period. After Hiller denied Anze Kopitar, Dustin Penner alertly fed a pinching Voynov, who netted his fourth goal of the season - and second versus Anaheim.
Justin Williams leveled the contest after accepted a backhanded cross-ice feed from Jarret Stoll before depositing the puck past Hiller.
Quick finished with 24 saves for Los Angeles, which was denied presenting Terry Murray his 500th coaching career victory.
