Recap
David Legwand scored his second goal of the game at 2:53 of overtime to complete a comeback and give the Nashville Predators a 4-3 road triumph over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday.
Legwand, who opened the scoring 62 seconds into the second period with a one-timer, flicked a backhand pass from the right faceoff circle by defenseman Francis Bouillon past Antti Niemi to cap his second two-goal performance of the season.
Patric Hornqvist recorded a goal and an assist, blue-liner Ryan Suter also scored and Pekka Rinne made 35 saves for Nashville, which improved to 2-0-1 on its five-game road trip and defeated San Jose for just the sixth time in 21 meetings.
After setting up two goals in the second period for a 2-1 lead, Logan Couture extended the Sharks' advantage 52 seconds into the third. Joe Pavelski's dump-in from the neutral zone caromed off the end boards to the slot, and Couture fired the puck past Rinne for his fifth tally of the season.
Nashville battled back, however, scoring twice in a 3:01 span to forge a tie. Hornqvist extended his goal-scoring streak to five games at 2:57 and Suter beat Niemi with a rising wrist shot from the top of the slot during a power play for the equalizer.
Pavelski and Martin Havlat also scored for San Jose, which had won six of seven.
