Loui Eriksson scored a shorthanded goal and captain Brenden Morrow added a power-play tally as the Dallas Stars built a three-goal lead and held on for a 3-2 home victory over the St. Louis Blues on Thursday.
Adam Burish also scored and Kari Lehtonen made 36 saves for Dallas, which extended its winning streak against St. Louis to five games.
Eriksson opened the scoring late in the first period, sliding a backhander between the pads of Jaroslav Halak during a breakaway with 70 seconds remaining. Eriksson has recorded 15 points in 19 career meetings with the Blues.
Burish tallied seven minutes into the second and Morrow scored on a deflection at 14:21 for a 3-0 advantage.
