Seahawks 29, 49ers 3: Marshawn Lynch scored three touchdowns and the Seattle defense silenced Colin Kaepernick in a rout of visiting San Francisco.

Lynch finished with 28 carries for 98 yards to pace Seattle (2-0) in front of a CenturyLink Field-record crowd of 68,338. Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson wasn't his best - completing 8-of-19 passes for 142 yards with a touchdown and an interception - but didn't need to be thanks to a defense that forced five 49ers turnovers and recorded a safety.

Kaepernick, coming off his first career 400-yard passing game, went just 13-of-28 for 127 yards and three interceptions against a stout Seahawks defense. He also lost a fumble.

After a scoreless first quarter disrupted by severe thunderstorms, the Seahawks struck early in the second when 49ers lineman Bruce Miller was called for offensive holding in the end zone, resulting in a safety. Steven Hauschka added a 30-yard field goal on the ensuing drive to give Seattle a 5-0 advantage at the half.

Lynch broke things open in the second half, putting Seattle up 12-0 with a 14-yard TD scamper early in the third quarter and hauling in a 7-yard scoring strike from Wilson - and walking untouched into the end zone - after Phil Dawson's 21-yard field goal gave the 49ers (1-1) their first and only points of the game. Lynch added a third touchdown on a 2-yard run with 4:22 remaining.
