Steelers 23, Ravens 20:
Charlie Batch passed for 276 yards and a touchdown and Shaun Suisham booted a 42-yard field goal as time expired as visiting Pittsburgh prevented Baltimore from clinching a playoff berth.

The Steelers (7-5) had lost two straight without starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder, rib), but the veteran Batch prevented them from a third straight loss that would have badly damaged their playoff hopes. The 38-year-old completed 25 of 36 passes and led the Steelers on a 12-play, 61-yard drive that chewed the final 6:14 off the clock.

The loss snapped a string of 15 consecutive regular-season home wins by the Ravens (9-3), who could have clinched a postseason berth with a victory. Pittsburgh is tied with division rival Cincinnati for the final playoff slot in the AFC.

The Ravens had an early 13-3 lead, but Suisham hit from 41 yards out to make it 13-6 at halftime and Jonathan Dwyer ripped off a 16-yard touchdown run to tie it early in the third quarter. Ray Rice's 34-yard scoring run put the Ravens back in front, but Batch hit Heath Miller for a 7-yard TD to knot the contest before leading Pittsburgh down the field for Suisham's winning kick.

Rice had 78 yards on 12 carries and notched his 32nd career rushing touchdown, passing Willis McGahee for the most as a Raven. Baltimore's Anquan Boldin had five catches for 81 yards and a score, leaving him six yards shy of 10,000 for his career.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Suisham is 8-for-9 in his career when tied or trailing by three points or less in the fourth quarter or overtime. … Baltimore QB Joe Flacco dropped to 32-6 in home starts. … The loss was Baltimore's first at home in the regular season since the Steelers beat them on Dec. 5, 2010.
