Buccaneers 38, Chiefs 10: Josh Freeman threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns and host Tampa Bay used a big-play attack to snap a three-game losing streak.

Freeman threw scoring passes of 19 and 17 yards to Vincent Jackson and connected on a 62-yard TD strike with Mike Williams as the Buccaneers (2-3) sent skidding Kansas City (1-5) to its third consecutive loss.

Veteran Ronde Barber returned an interception 78 yards for a score and Tampa Bay broke the game open with a pair of touchdowns just over three minutes apart early in the third quarter to take a 21-3 lead.

Brady Quinn, making his first start since December 2009 in place of an injured Matt Cassel, finished 22-of-38 for 180 yards and two interceptions for the Chiefs, who haven't scored an offensive touchdown in their last eight quarters.

Kansas City got within 21-10 in the first minute of the fourth quarter on a bizarre play. Shaun Draughn blocked a punt by Tampa Bay's Michael Koenen, who retrieved the loose ball in the end zone but attempted to pass and had it picked off and returned for a touchdown by Edgar Jones. The Bucs responded with a 27-yard field goal by Connor Barth on their ensuing possession and tacked on two more touchdowns to turn it into a rout.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles, who entered the contest leading the league with 551 yards rushing, was limited to 40 yards on 12 carries, including eight in the first half. ... Tampa Bay was without starting CB Aqib Talib, who was suspended four games earlier this week for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances. He tested positive for the banned substance Adderall, which is generally used to treat narcolepsy and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). ... Barth missed a 55-yard field goal in the first half, ending his league-best streak of 25 consecutive attempts made.
