Recap: Eagles 26, Dolphins 10
Dec 11, 2011
LeSean McCoy had a pair of touchdown runs and Michael Vick returned from a rib injury to help lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a 26-10 road victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
McCoy tied the game at 7-7 with a 2-yard TD run early in the second quarter and put Philadelphia (5-8) ahead for good less than two minutes later with a 1-yard score.
McCoy, who gained only 38 yards on 28 carries, raised his touchdown total to 17 – two away from eclipsing Steve Van Buren's single-season franchise record.
Vick, who missed the Eagles' previous three games due to fractured ribs, completed 15 of 30 passes for 208 yards. He gave Philadelphia a 24-7 advantage with a 34-yard scoring strike to DeSean Jackson late in the first half.
Matt Moore was 11 of 19 for just 95 yards and a touchdown with one interception for Miami (4-9), which had its three-game home winning streak snapped.
The Dolphins had won four of their previous five contests after dropping their first seven of the year.
Miami's Reggie Bush posted his second straight 100-yard performance, rushing for 103 yards on 14 carries.
